Donor Tributes
Thank you to our donors who have contributed in honor of their loved ones, people and dogs alike. Your donations make our rescue’s mission to find loving homes for German Shepherds possible. All donations go to the care of our foster dogs. Below are some of the beloved dogs who have inspired our donors to support our mission.
Beloved by his parents, Nigel defied expectations after his DM diagnosis by living out a wonderful 2.5 more years. He enjoyed a final holiday season in Dec ‘22, passing just shy of 11 years old.
In Memory of Andy Hohwald
Andy loved his rescued shepherds, Shadow and Tiger, dearly. They now live on a beautiful piece of land nestled in the Appalachian foothills of Georgia. The family has honored Andy’s memory by donating to help shepherds like Shadow and Tiger find loving homes.

Rose crossed the rainbow bridge at 12 years old. Loved and cherished by her family, she will be remembered as a great protector, friend, playmate, and loyal companion.

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE ESTATE OF CATHY REBBMAN
After her pups were placed privately with friends, Ms. Rebmann's family donated nearly $10,000 to GSDRGA, which we used to fund Marco's surgery and rehabilitation.
GSDRGA cannot begin to thank everyone involved enough for these truly life altering donations. We are staffed solely by volunteers, meaning the full amount of all donations go directly to helping GSDs in our care - from emergency medical needs to routine medical needs to keeping our fosters fed, entertained, and comfortable.
From the bottom of our hearts (and Marco's, which is thankfully in its proper spot now), THANK YOU to Ms. Rebmann and all of her family and friends. You are truly paw-some group of hoomans!
