Directed Donation Registry
Have a birthday or a wedding coming up soon?
Want to make good use of those occasions to help out a worthy cause?
It's rewarding, and it's easy!
German Shepherd Dog Rescue Group of GA (GSDRGA) is a state-licensed, incorporated, non-profit rescue organization established in March 2004. The organization works to find loving permanent homes for abandoned and surrendered German Shepherd Dogs. The work is sometimes sad, often rewarding, and always expensive since GSDRGA provides medical care for these dogs until they're rescued. Every dime donated to GSRDGA benefits the dogs. The volunteers donate their time and efforts to the rescue without compensation. GSDRGA does not have a shelter facility, utilizing instead foster homes for the dogs until they can be placed permanently.
There are a couple of ways you can easily direct gifts to GSDRGA.
1. You can put out a donation jar at your event (birthday, wedding, shower, family reunion). Guests who are interested can drop their cash or check donations in the jar, and you can later mail us the donation.
2. You can ask your guests to donate to us in your name, through our PayPal donate button below.
In return, we'll put your picture or story on the website.

Kathy Rebbman passed away long before her time ... she left a sizeable donation to the rescue in her will. For that we are forever grateful. Thank you with warmest wishes to the Rebbman Family.
In loving memory of Ali ... a retired police dog. The Wintersville Police Department made a generous donation to us on Ali's behalf. Thank you Ali and the Wintersville Police Department.
Bobby Bresee
We called him the Breeze.
In memory of Joyce Poole, beloved wife of Tom Poole, and their dear dog, Christian
Thank You to Erin and Dan Lloyd & Audrey Stevens
German Shepherd Dog Rescue of Georgia wishes to thank Erin Lloyd, her husband Dan, and her grandmother Audrey Stevens of Fort Worth, Texas for their generous donation.
Erin was married to Dan on October 21, 2017. They asked their wedding guests not to give them presents but to make a donation on their behalf to their favorite charities. Audrey Stevens, is the Grandmother of Erin and Stevens Davis. Stephens is one of our volunteers, and she decided to donate to the rescue after meeting the German Shepherds Stevens has adopted from the rescue and hearing about the wonderful work of GSDRGA . The Stevens and the Davis families are huge dog lovers. Erin and her family have a 7-month old Goldendoodle named Phoebe. Phoebe’s hobbies include barking at squirrels, playing fetch, and she loves a large mud puddle. Erin has three children: Regan age 16, Connor age 15 and Logan age 12. |
Thanks to West Georgia Region AACA (Antique Automobile Car Club of America)
Big thanks are in order! We received a significant donation from the West Georgia Region AACA (Antique Automobile Car Club of America) based in Carrollton, GA. Darby's (formerly known as Cheyenne) adopter, is a member of the group. They raise money with an annual car show fundraiser and then support local charities with the proceeds. GSDRGA is honored to have been chosen as a recipient this year.
For more information about AACA, see below.

Our foster dog, Sphinx, went to pick up the check, and met Darby. He confused the check with treats for a second, but Darby showed him the ropes.

Emma and Delilah

How awesome is this girl? Well let me tell you...Emma pictured with her dog Delilah, raised $230 in donations for us from her 10th birthday party! She asked for donations to GSDRGA instead of gifts. She is a German Shepherd lover and obviously a very sweet soul! Thank you, Emma!
The Stephen's and Beua
GSD lovers, Paige Stephen and her husband, Ed, requested their wedding guests to donate to GSDRGA instead of buying gifts from a traditional registry. Thanks to their generosity, we earned about $1,680 in donations! Inka is the large, black and red shepherd, and Beau is the shepherd mix. What a great looking family!
