Lola's Puppy Diaries

Big thanks to Lake City Animal Hospital and their staff for helping with Lola and her pups

2/4/2014 - Lola is having puppies, she went into labor early this AM! One girl so far, stay tuned for updates. It may be a long day

2/5/2014 - Big thanks to Lake City Animal Hospital and their staff. I took my foster dog Lola in after only giving birth to 1 puppy all day. They were quick to get me in and her set up. Lola was able to birth 4 more puppies. Thinking she was done we did an xray and found she had 6 more. We decided that a c - section was the best choice, Lola was done and the oxytocin was not doing much. All 11 puppies are doing great and mom although exhausted is doing well. She will have her paws full for quit some time. We have 9 girls and 2 boys! Again thank you lake city animal hospital for bringing new life into this world last night. Everyone was amazing.

2/21/14 - Lola's pups are growing  and  doing  well. Not sure  who  dad  could  be  yet but a few  are  brindle  and  few  are  black.
We are  planning to  treat  Lola's  Heartworms in a  couple  weeks. She  can  be treated  while  she's  nursing. Because  she  is  nursing,  we  still  need dry  puppy  food donated.  Salmon  would  be  best  for  her,  her  coat  is  still  dull. Taste  of  the  Wild  or Earthborn  Holistic is  a  good  food. Gift  cards to  Petco  and Petsmart  are  fine  too,  or  Visa gift  cards.  We  also  need  bedding.

Big  thanks  to  Katie  for taking  care of these  little ones!
